Kapp continued her dominance, finishing with an impressive five-wicket haul, while Kim Garth played a resilient knock of 32* to help Giants reach just over 100 runs.
In response, the Capitals had a watchful start to their innings before Shafali Verma started hitting the ball all around the park, registering the second-fastest half-century of the WPL.
Skipper Meg Lanning played a supporting role as the Capitals cruised to the highest powerplay score of the WPL which now stands at 87/0. Lanning eventually finished the game with a boundary, leaving Verma unbeaten on 76* off just 28 balls with 10 fours and 5 sixes. The Capitals secured a comfortable victory and two crucial points.
