PSL 2023 Final: Watch – Rashid Khan Gives A Fiery Send-off To Rilee Rossouw, Brings Out ‘Finger On Lips’ Celebration As Players Exchange Words
Lahore Qalandars (LHQ) had won the toss & opted to bat in PSL 2023 final against the dangerous Multan Sultans (MS). LHQ posted a mammoth total of 200-6. Multan Sultans (MS) had a brilliant start to their run chase as they scored 72 runs in the power-play overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Rilee Rossouw & Mohammad Rizwan were toying with the bowlers. Rilee Rossouw was looking ominous and he was quite fearless.
Shaheen Afridi’s cameo of 44 runs in 17 balls changed the complexion of the match as at one stage LHQ were in a spot of bother when their score was 111-4 in 13.5 overs. LHQ would sense that they have a psychological advantage over Multan Sultans as chasing 201 runs that too in the final would be quite tough.
Watch: Rashid Khan Thrashes Rilee Rossouw’s stumps
At the end of 10 overs, Multan Sultans (MS) score was 101-1 where Rilee Rossouw’s score was 48 runs in 29 balls whereas Mohammad Rizwan was on 28 runs in 19 balls. Rashid Khan was bowling the 11th over and on the 3rd delivery, Rashid bowled a flat leg break which was a bit too quick where Rossouw played the pull shot but was beaten & was bowled. Rilee Rossouw was dismissed after scoring 52 runs in 32 balls where he struck 7 fours & 2 sixes. At that time Multan Sultans’ score was 105-2 in 10.3 overs.

Exciting Finish on Cards
Rilee Rossouw’s dismissal could be the turning point in the final. Now skipper Mohammad Rizwan needs to make sure that the required run rate doesn’t go beyond 12. It would be interesting to see whether Kieron Pollard can play a significant cameo like LHQ skipper Shaheen Afridi.
LHQ would sense that they can pull back things as the partnership of Rizwan & Rossouw was looking threatening. It looks unlikely that Sikandar Raza would bowl now as it would be quite risky. It won’t be a bad idea for Shaheen to bowl an over as Pollard’s wicket would be quite pivotal.
