The Jets finally benched Zach Wilson — we will soon find out for how long.
Backup quarterback Tim Boyle entered the game with 2:15 left in the third quarter of the Jets-Bills game on Sunday.

He started 3 of 5 for 14 yards and had a potential interception taken back that’s to video review.
The Jets were trailing the Bills 29-6 at the time of the move.
Wilson was just 7-for-15 for 81 yards and a touchdown to Breece Hall and an interception that set the Bills up for a score.
The former No. 2 overall pick has led a painful ineffective Jets offense since taking over after Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles just four plays into the season open.

The Jets came into Sunday’s game having not scored a touchdown in 36 possessions, the last having come against the Giants three weeks ago.
Wilson, 24 had thrown just five touchdowns to six interceptions this season and had a dismal 34.2 quarterback rating.
With the Jets’ playoff hopes heading toward being in serious jeopardy — likely taking a push for Rodgers to rush back and return out of the picture — the team will have to make a decision on Wilson’s future both for this season and eventually beyond.
