DC Women dominated the terms against Gujarat Giants (GG). DC Women won the match by 10 wickets and chased down the target of 106 runs in just 7.1 overs only. Sneh Rana was injured as she didn’t take the field. It would be interesting to see whether the injury of Sneh Rana is serious of Sneh Rana as already a lot of players of GG have been sidelined.
Shafali Verma played a sensational knock of 76 runs in 28 balls where she struck 10 fours & 5 sixes. There was carnage at the DY Patil Stadium as all the bowlers were taken to the cleaners. DC Women fans would be over the moon as a lot of questions were raised after their crushing defeat against the mighty MI Women.

Gujarat Giants (GG) need to go back to the drawing board as now they have lost 3 matches out of 4. With only 3 teams progressing to the playoffs, GG need to make a strong comeback quickly. Perhaps, GG need to use Sushma Verma, the wicket-keeper batter in the middle order and make Ashleigh Gardner bat at the No.5 or No.6 position where she can play a breezy cameo at the back end of the innings.
DC Women star pacer Marizanne Kapp created havoc as the speedster took a 5-wicket haul. The peculiarity of DC Women is that they have a lot of match-winners present in the team. DC Women’s next match is against RCB Women on 13th March where a win for DC Women would take them close to the playoffs.

Girls did the best they can do- Sneh Rana
During post-match presentation, Sneh Rana was asked about the team’s performance and about her injury.
“It’s completely okay. Girls did the best they can do. So it’s fine. Pitch was a bit skiddy. It was a good decision (at the toss) because the ball was coming on well. Hand is fine, hope it gets better. Shafali was fantastic tonight. All those shots were incredible.” said Sneh Rana.
