Glenn Maxwell’s wife Vini Raman, who is of Indian origin, also received a lot of uncultured messages. But she took that to her Instagram account and opted to hit back at those messages. The Indian fans have vented out their frustration, which isn’t good at all.
Australian players however have reported the matter to Cricket Australia. It remains to be seen what action the governing body takes on this. They might report the issue to ICC but so far there has been no official confirmation about it.
What happened in the game between India and Australia in the final of the World Cup 2023
India were asked to bat first. Rohit Sharma (47) yet again gave his team a blistering start and batted aggressively. After that, Virat Kohli (51) chipped in as well but India were left tottering at 81/3. KL Rahul (66) tried to get going the run dried up in the middle and they couldn’t score runs freely.
Somehow, India managed 240 runs on the board. It was expected that it would be a thriller and the start by the bowlers left Australia tottering at 47/3. But after that, nothing went their way. Travis Head (132) blasted a brutal century whereas Marnus Labuschagne supported him well as Australia completed a comfortable 6-wicket victory at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This was Australia’s 6th World Cup title.
