IPL 2023 is expected to be an enthralling one as IPL is heading back to its home & away venue system after 2019. This time all the 10 teams are evenly matched and according to reports it is assumed that IPL 2023 would be the last one of MS Dhoni. Chris Gayle, a former RCB player used to be a nightmare for bowlers. Chris Gayle‘s scintillating knock of 175 runs in 66 balls against Pune Warriors India in 2013 changed the face of IPL.

This time players would be tested as there are a lot of doubleheaders & at the same time, the pitches would be quite competitive which would make the contests spicy. MI & CSK would be aiming to start afresh after a disappointing IPL 2022 where they finished at the bottom of the table.

Chris Gayle on RCB

Chris Gayle was having an interaction with Jio Cinema and was asked about his playing days with the RCB franchise.

“You know sometimes being one of the main players, the main man. I am always in my own zone. What I understand when it comes from an RCB point of view, a lot of players felt left out.” said Chris Gayle.

‘A lot of players didn’t feel like they are part of the franchise. It was only three players getting all the attention, myself, Virat and AB. So a lot of players pretty much mentally are nowhere within the team. So that’s always going to be a challenge to win a title.” he added.

Fascinating IPL 2023 on Cards

Gujarat Titans (GT), the current champions of IPL will have a strenuous task on their hands as only CSK & MI have won back-to-back titles in the history of IPL. Head Coach Ashish Nehra & skipper Hardik Pandya would be hoping that Kane Williamson provides the stability to the team in the middle overs where he could also be a part of the leadership group.

With David Warner leading Delhi Capitals (DC) in the absence of Rishabh Pant,  DC fans would be hoping that the duo of Ricky Ponting-David Warner can help them to win their maiden IPL championship where last time in IPL 2022, they couldn’t win crunch moments of the match.
